ATI Catalyst

Les pilotes ATI Catalyst 6.4 officiel sont disponibles.

Au menu de cette version, une qualité Vidéo améliorée, un utilitaire de conversion Windows Media Center Edition ainsi que des performances de jeux encore augmentées.

 

 

Une amélioration des algorithmes de réduction de bruit du signal vidéo lors du traitement de celui-ci par le moteur Avivo.

La qualité d'image à également été améliorée notamment au niveau du « piqué » lors du playback vidéo en mode standard, avec une mise en avant des détails qui étaient perdu lors de l'encodage et du traitement.

  

Les Catalyst 6.4 intègrent maintenant un utilitaire de conversion pour les vidéo Windows MCE.

Cet utilitaire permet de convertir des vidéos qui ont été enregistrée par MCE, il est possible de convertir en format MPEG-2, MPEG-4 SP, MPEG-4 AVC et Windows Media.

Les vidéos Ipod et PSP sont listée sous des formats à part pour pouvoir les reconnaître plus facilement.

 

Les améliorations de performances pour les jeux

 

  • 3DMark06 CPU les scores augmente au moins de 4.9% sur toutes les gammes.
  • 3DMark06 HDR 2 Deep Freeze (SM3.0) test augmenté d'au moins 2%
  • Call of Duty ammélioré de 1.4-2% sur Radeon® X1900 et Radeon® X1800 CrossfireTMUn peu moins (1.3%) pour les configurations non-CrossfireTM Radeon® X1900 and Radeon® X1800
  • FarCry augmenté de 2-3% sur ATI Radeon® X1900 configurations non-Crossfire. Les meilleurs résultats proviennent des tests sans AA et AF
  • Half Life 2 augmentation d'au moins 3.8% sur Radeon® X1900 configurations non-Crossfire. Les meilleurs résultats proviennent des tests sans AA et AF
  • Unreal Tournament 2004 gains de 3-5% sur toutes les Radeon® X1x00 configurations non-Crossfire
